Auburn Nursing Home was founded in 1963 by Frank L. DeFurio, M.D. and Charles B. Richards, M.D. in response to a community need for long term care beds. Auburn Nursing Home opened it doors to the Community on December 1, 1964. Auburn Nursing Home still continues to be a provider of choice to our community with 40 plus years of service.
A few years ago rehabilitative therapy services were added to Auburn Nursing Home due to the increase in sub-acute care admissions. Our rehabilitation therapy team sets individual goals for the residents to help them reach the highest level of physical functioning.
We are currently a 92 bed facility with 2 Private Rooms. Auburn Nursing Home
began with 4 private rooms , and changed to 2 to meet the demands of the community it services back in the early 1990's. Auburn Nursing Home has changed greatly in the time since it first opened its doors to residents in need of care back in the 1960's. With the increase in documentation requirements, the introduction of computer charting and documenting, and the ever changing medical world, Auburn Nursing Home continues to grow steadily while providing a range of services to our residents.
